GILMER — A man is in serious condition in a Tyler hospital after losing one leg and injuring another when he was struck by a train in Gilmer. According to Gilmer police, the man was sitting on the railroad tracks near Roosevelt Park when he was struck by a passing train sometime before 11 p.m. Thursday night. Police said they believe the man was intoxicated at the time he was struck by the train. The man was air-lifted to a Tyler Hospital.
