Scott Randall Terry, 39, of Gilmer, pleaded guilty last November to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced in Marshall Wednesday to 71 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge T. John Ward.<\/p>\n<p>Federal prosecutors say on May 24, 2010, Terry was found to be in possession of a sawed off shotgun with an obliterated serial number.  Further investigation revealed Terry was a convicted felon and prohibited by federal law from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition.
