LONGVIEW — Smallwoods has revealed a project that despite the coronavirus shows the company’s continued growth. On Friday, Jason Smallwood told KTBB, “It has forced us to reconsider and change our standard operating procedures pretty much across the board for the entire company. But, at the same time, I think with folks spending more time at home, they have really looked to re-arrange their home and try to make it as comfortable as possible. So that’s where we come in.” Smallwood’s will consolidate 9 facilities and more than double employment. ‘The Campus’ project’s goal will provide a thriving culture for employees, and keep the native East Texas surroundings undisturbed.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/ktbb.com\/post\/wp-content\/media\/2020\/10\/Smallwoods-150x150.jpg\")
“It’s a pretty ambitious structure plan to add folks.” President\/CEO Smallwood continued, “I know at a minimum we can anticipate adding over 200 with-in the next 12 months. The forecasts are pretty large beyond that, so I would hate to over-promise and under-deliver, but I think we can at least say we are close to doubling the employment over the next 12 months, because of the facility growth.” The Longview-based company now begins site work for the one million square foot facility set on 200 plus acres of land. “The Campus” will house the Smallwoods team and consolidate all manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and administration functions in one location.
