TYLER — Fall officially arrived earlier this week, and on Saturday morning, Lane Chapel’s church parking lot was transformed into a pumpkin lot. Pastor Jeff Cage told KTBB Friday, “People ask me how may pumpkins do we get? I say a lot. I don’t really know. We used to try and count them. Last year, I looked on the bill or ticket on a truck and there were over 20,000 lbs of pumpkins and we did that many twice. Because we will get an 18-wheelers full Saturday morning, and then another 18-wheeler full on October 10th. We will have pumpkins and squash and gords. We will have all sizes and shapes, and colors. There will be stars and green, white, orange, speckled ones. It really is amazing what God can do with a pumpkin.”<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/ktbb.com\/post\/wp-content\/media\/2020\/09\/Lanes-Chapel-150x150.jpg\")
Pastor Cage continued, “We love putting the money back into our community and missions. Proceeds help people through our food bank, benevolence funds, we help people that are needing help. We donate back to various groups, boys scouts, girl scouts. This does not go into the church to pay for staff or electricity or my salary, it goes back into the community and we are glad to build relationships along the way.” The pumpkin patch will feature games, train-rides, and plenty of fun including social distancing and sanitation practices.
