These cancellations will affect events expected to draw large crowds through the end of March. This decision does not impact events hosted by other organizations. City of Longview officials and public safety personnel will continue to monitor the situation closely. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153This is not a decision we made lightly, and our goal by taking these actions is to limit the impact of this disease on our community and protect those most vulnerable,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Mayor Andy Mack said in a news release. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Longview Municipal Court has canceled all court dockets between March 16 &#8211; 27.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone that was scheduled to appear in court during that time should contact Municipal Court by phone or email to reschedule. Municipal Court will still be open during regular hours and will continue to assist customers in person, by phone, or online via chat. For more information, contact 903-237-1186.<\/p>\n<p>The city will be in discussions with organizations with previously scheduled events at City of Longview parks and facilities, and will notify the public of events that have been tentatively rescheduled once those dates have been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, all city facilities remain open to the public and are continuing normal operations. The City of Longview offers many online services; so, if you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have to come to a city facility, please consider conducting your business online or by phone.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Longview will continue to hold public meetings related to City Council functions. The City of Longview is asking residents who are experiencing symptoms such as fever or cough or who have traveled to affected areas to refrain from physically attending these meetings.
