According to a news release, the action follows Gregg County District Attorney Tom Watson\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s offer of prosecutorial assistance, with the backing of Gregg County Judge Bill Stoudt. Watson says as a former law officer, he was hard-hit by the killing and took note of Davidson’s “smaller staff and limited resources.” Dickerson was shot multiple times while conducting a traffic stop last month in Panola County.
