According to our news partner KETK, the Upshur County Sheriff\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Office  got a tip back in May of reports of an internal theft of property. Following the the Upshur County DA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Office presented the case to a grand jury. Burks was indicted for the offense of Misapplication of Fiduciary Property \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Over $30,000.00, a 3rd Degree Felony.
