TYLER — A Van Zandt County constable is in a surgical intensive care unit after being trampled by a horse late Tuesday afternoon. Precinct 2 Constable C.B. Wiley was flown to Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler on Tuesday, Sandra Plaster, a court clerk for the precinct, said Wednesday. Wiley will have to undergo at least three surgeries for several broken bones, she said.
