Gregg County Sheriff Maxey Cerliano and Sheriff&#8217;s Lt. Eddie Hope said the woman&#8217;s body was found Oct. 29, 2006 near Kilgore. She was later named Lavender Doe. The suspect, Joseph Wayne Burnette, is currently in the Gregg County Jail awaiting trial. He&#8217;s been charged with the murders of Dana Dodd and Felishia Pearson. Burnette is also charged with sex offender duty to register with bonds totaling $2,500,000.
