\"\"<\/a>TYLER – Here is a summary of the city projects now underway in Tyler. Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues. <\/p>\n

2018 Asphalt Enhancement (Overlay) Project
\n– Location: Various Streets throughout the City of Tyler
\n– Contractor: Reynolds and Kay, Ltd.
\n– Cost: $4,292,993.10
\n– Funding Source: Half Cent, TWU Capital Fund, General Fund
\n– Impact to Traffic: Traffic will usually be directed around work areas by flagging operations
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion: April 2019
\n– Status: Construction is on-going.<\/p>\n

GRWTP Backwash Pump Station and Clearwell Baffles
\n– Location: Golden Road Water Treatment Plant
\n– Contractor: Gracon Construction
\n– Cost: $4,705,000
\n– Funding Source: TWU Revenue Bonds
\n– Impact to Traffic: None anticipated
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: February 2019
\n– Status: All work is complete except for a tie-in at the filters. Water leaks have been discovered in pipe coming from filters. Engineer and contractor are developing a plan to address the repairs.<\/p>\n

Bascom Road Water Line Extension
\n – Location: Bascom Road from Shiloh to Southwood
\n -Contractor: Reynolds & Kay, Ltd
\n – Cost: $251,515
\n– Funding Source: TWU Revenue Bonds
\n – Impact to Traffic: TBD
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: TBD
\n– Status: Work is temporarily on hold pending acquisition of a temporary construction easement for the boring contractor.<\/p>\n

Sewer Improvements (Pinecrest to Tanglewood)
\n– Location: Pinecrest to Tanglewood
\n– Contractor: A.E. Shull & Company
\n– Cost: $233,375.00
\n– Funding Source: TWU Utility Fund
\n– Impact to Traffic: None anticipated
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: May 2019
\n– Status: Contractor has begun clearing right-of-way but was temporarily delayed due to weather.<\/p>\n

Runway 4\/22 Rehab Project 4
\n– Location: Tyler Pounds Field
\n– Contractor: SpawGlass
\n– Cost: $10,848,806
\n– Funding Source: 90% FAA Grant and 10% Half Cent Sales Tax
\n– Impact to Traffic: None anticipated
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: November 2018
\n– Status: Work is complete.<\/p>\n

Legacy Trails
\n– Location: Old Jacksonville to Cumberland Road and Gresham
\n– Contractor: Reynolds and Kay, Ltd.
\n– Cost: $4,600,000
\n– Funding Source: Grant\/Half Cent (70\/30)
\n– Impact to Traffic: Off system, minimal lane closures
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: June 2019
\n– Status: East trail is complete along Old Jacksonville Hwy and Dueling Oaks.<\/p>\n

West trail is about 90% complete. North trailhead is complete pending landscaping. Middle Trailhead is underway and South Trailhead is complete.<\/p>\n

Courtney-Miller Drainage Improvements
\n– Location: Golden Road, Courtney Drive and Miller Drive Area
\n– Contractor: Reynolds and Kay, Ltd.
\n– Cost: $2,035,121
\n– Funding Source: Half Cent
\n– Impact to Traffic: Golden Road, Courtney Drive and Miller Drive will be closed at different times and traffic will be detoured
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: August 2019
\n– Status: Culvert installation at Golden Road is complete. Remaining construction is underway.<\/p>\n

2018 CDBG Curb and Gutter – Harmony (Border to Whitten)
\n– Location: Harmony Street from Border Ave to Whitten Ave
\n– Contractor: South Texas Illumination
\n– Cost: $43,331.50
\n– Funding Source: CDBG
\n– Impact to Traffic: Traffic will be usually be rerouted by flaggers
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: December 2018
\n– Status: Project is under construction. Electric pole has been moved and contractor will be starting work on December 10.<\/p>\n

Fleishel Drainage Improvements
\n– Location: Fleishel Avenue from 8 th Street to Skyline Street
\n– Contractor: Miller Construction
\n– Cost: $999,134
\n– Funding Source: Half-Cent
\n– Impact to Traffic: Fleishel from 8th to Skyline will be closed through most of construction
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: September 2019
\n– Status: Pre-construction meeting held Dec 3. Construction start scheduled for early January. Fleishel from 8th to Skyline will be closed through most of construction.<\/p>\n

Fire Station No. 1
\n– Location: M.L. King Jr. Blvd (old Fire Station No. 4)
\n– Contractor: Jacobe Brothers
\n– Cost: $ 4,828,410
\n– Funding Source: Half-Cent
\n– Impact to Traffic: TBD
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: September 2019
\n– Status: Construction contracts complete. Scheduling a pre-construction meeting with the contractor.<\/p>\n

Fire Station No. 4
\n– Location: Cherry Hill just south of Cumberland Rd
\n– Contractor: Garrett and Associates
\n– Cost: $2,989,714
\n– Funding Source: Half-Cent
\n– Impact to Traffic: TBD
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: October 2019
\n– Status: Construction contracts complete. Scheduling a pre-construction meeting with the contractor.<\/p>\n

Sunnybrook Culvert Replacement (at Robertson)
\n– Location: Sunnybrook at Robertson Rd
\n– Contractor: Reynolds & Kay, Inc.
\n– Cost: $597,687
\n– Funding Source: Half-Cent
\n– Impact to Traffic: TBD
\n– Anticipated Construction Completion Date: June 2019
