Interstate 20 is restricted to one lane for a long term construction project in Louisiana near the Texas state line. The outside lane in both directions is closed for construction in Louisiana. This construction zone causes major traffic delays for motorists in Texas. The DPS says during the week of Thanksgiving anyone traveling into Louisiana from Texas, or vice versa, should be aware of this delay and, if possible, find an alternate route.
