Darrell Coslin says the sheriff’s office was contacted May 16 by Child Protective Services after a 14-year-old female accused Monk of the assault. Coslin says during an interview this week, Monk admitted to the assault and said he knew the girl was 14. Coslin says before Monk was arrested, he made threats to harm himself and family members. Coslin says due to the imminent threat, detectives immediately identified Monk\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s location at an apartment complex in Tyler and arrested him.
