The former hairdresser auditioned for the role of the “town gossip” in the film that starred Jack Black, Shirley MacLaine, and Longview High School graduate Matthew McConaughey. She soon found herself in Bastrop working on the project. According to her IMDB page, Epperson also had roles in “Joe” with Nicolas Cage, “Everybody Wants Some,” and “Manglehorn” with Al Pacino.
