The discussions covered a wide rage of topics, from East Texas gang and cartel activity to a panel discussion on improving relations between law enforcement and citizens. This includes two new bills passed by the state legislature last year. On of them requires driver education students to receive training on how to interact with law officers. And, just around the corner is de-escalation training for law officers.
