Michael Shane Donald, 42, of Kilgore, pleaded guilty on last November to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced yesterday to 120 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge T. John Ward.<\/p>\n<p>According to federal prosecutors, on May 24, 2010, Donald was found to be in possession of a sawed-off shotgun with an obliterated serial number in Upshur County, Texas.  Further investigation revealed Donald was a convicted felon, having been found guilty of assault, family violence in 2004 in Upshur County. Convicted felons are prohibited by federal law from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition.
