It happened shortly before 9:00 Monday morning on U.S. Highway 69, just south of Rusk. Dead at the scene was  Aurelio Amaya, 46. Keith Jackson, 46, of Nacogdoches, was treated and released at a Tyler hospital. According to the Department of Public Safety report,  Jackson&#8217;s truck was traveling west on County Road1101 and Amaya&#8217;s truck was heading north on Highway 69. The report says Jackson failed to yield the right of way, entering the intersection of US-69 in front of Amaya and the two vehicles collided.
