It started when a state trooper stopped a car for a traffic violation on State Highway 31. While the officer was talking to the driver, the passenger drove the car away and into Navarro County. The car didn&#8217;t stop until it ran over a spike strip and crashed into an unmarked Kerens Police Department squad car.
