Sheriff Larry Smith reports 20-year-old Nathan Ryan Garcia of Whitehouse has surrendered in the November 5 shooting death of 19-year-old Andrew Carpenter of Tyler. Garcia has since been released on $500,000 bond. The other suspect, 21-year-old Martin Wesley Reynolds of Whitehouse, was treated for a leg wound and arrested shortly after the shooting.
