\"\"LONGVIEW — Longview police say a man attacked an elderly person with a chair near a busy intersection Friday evening. According to the Longview News-Journal, Aaron Matthew Porras, 21, was booked into the Gregg County Jail with bond set at $69,000. He’s charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault, evading arrest and two counts of harassing a public servant. Police responded to East Marshall Avenue near Alpine Road shortly after 5 p.m. after someone noticed a man striking an elderly man with a chair. Porras ran from the scene when officers arrived, then scuffled with officers after he was caught, spitting at two of the officers.
