A new development has been proposed for a vacant 2 acre lot on East Main St. near city hall. The additions would include a hotel, restaurant, convenience store, and a gas station. Whitehouse city manager, Mike Peterson, says that a more developed town center would add entertainment, increase tax revenue, and create new jobs. Peterson says Whitehouse is &#8220;excited about this project and we&#8217;re looking forward to having our downtown area begin to be revitalized.&#8221; The proposed developments can not begin until they are approved by the city.
