A ceremony was held Friday afternoon as Detective Josh Green retired after 20 years on the Tyler police force. He is retiring to pursue full-time ministry. Green was the Senior Pastor for the County Line Baptist Church in Bullard for the past 5 years. He said he felt God&#8217;s calling to plant a church where a Gospel presence is desperately needed. After retirement, he and his family will be moving to Fort Collins, Colorado to begin the work of church planting.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Detective Green began his career as a Tyler Police Officer in 1997. For the first three years he was a patrol officer. He was named a member of the bike team in 1999. Ten years later, to the present time, he was assigned to the Youth Crimes division as a detective. He also served on the Tyler Police Department SWAT Team for 10 years.
