TYLER — Smith County officials met with more than 75 residents from the southern portions of the county Tuesday evening to listen to their road concerns at the first Road and Bridge Strategic Planning Citizen Input Meeting. It was the first of several such meetings planned throughout the county to gather residents\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 opinions to develop a long-term road plan. Commissioners Jeff Warr and Cary Nix both said they were very pleased with the turnout and citizen participation.<\/p>\n
On another important note, the location for next week\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s meeting has been changed because of the larger-than-expected turnout at Tuesday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s meeting. It’s now set for 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at the the Lindale High School Cafetorium, after previously being scheduled for Lindale City Hall.<\/p>\n
Smith County citizens are being asked to fill out Citizen Feedback Forms either online, at the meetings, at the Commissioners Court offices, or at any of the Justice of the Peace\/Constable offices throughout the county. So far, 147 forms have been completed.
