One team is focusing on Smith, Upshur, and Gregg Counties. Another team is focusing on Nacogdoches, Rusk, and Shelby Counties. The strongest of the storms was an EF-2 tornado in the Garrison area of northeastern Nacogdoches County. It had winds of between 111-135 miles an hour. Reports also indicate an EF-1 tornado on the west side of Gladewater and an EF-1 tornado in southeast Rusk County, on the east side of Minden. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The National Weather Service Fort Worth has confirmed an EF-0 tornado in Van Zandt County. It hit the area near Edgewood with winds of 70 to 80 mph. The damage from this brief tornado was approximately 2 miles long, but only about 40-50 yards wide. Two homes suffered damage, with the bulk of the damage coming from airborne debris hitting the houses. Several residents in the area reported seeing the tornado as it moved in a non continuous path southwest and south of Edgewood. The tornado occurred for approximately 2 miles, yet had a non- continuous path. Damage began to the south of Edgewood, along Van Zandt County Road 3212.
