According to KETK and the Longview News-Journal, the indictment is related to a Nov. 30, 2015 incident, the same day as the fatal car crash. Gregg County officials were not immediately available to confirm that the indictment stemmed from the crash. Ellen Virginia Hicks, 33, was booked into the Gregg County Jail on Friday. Her bond has not yet been set.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p> Hicks was driving her car above the speed limit the morning of Nov. 30, 2015 on Tryon Road, near Janet Kay Drive, when she became distracted by a dog in her car. Hicks\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 car crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and hit a car nearly head-on, DPS said. The driver of that car was identified as Amy Qualls, 42, of Avinger.
