The awards cited employees for their performance in 2016. Officer Jason Shields was named Officer of the year. He was cited for, among other things, his excellent work ethic and care for others. Other awards went to Lieutenant Paul Robeson, the Sworn Suprevisor of the year, Detective Jason Compton the Plainclothes Officer of the Year, and officer Sandra Doss was named Rookie Officer of the Year. Also, Chaplain Doug Haning received the Volunteer of the Year Award. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Among the other awards that were handed out:<br \/>\nUnit Of The Year &#8211; Property and Evidence Division<br \/>\nCivilian Supervisor Of The Year &#8211; Marisa Pittman<br \/>\nCivilian Employee Of The Year &#8211; Sara Funderburg<br \/>\nTyler Patrolman&#8217;s Association Award &#8211; Kevin Eltife<br \/>\nTyler Patrolman&#8217;s Association Excellance in Policing Award &#8211; Officer Chuck Barber<br \/>\nFOP Fraternal Order of Police Brother or Sister of the Year &#8211; Sgt. J.H. Burge<\/p>\n<p>Life Savings Awards:<br \/>\nOfficer Jeremy Thompson, Officer Rebekah Hutson, Officer Joshua Darty, Sgt.
