According to the Longview News-Journal and KETK, it was his sixth DWI conviction. Michael Lynn was arrested on a DWI charge May 29 when he crashed into a mailbox. Jurors deliberating in the case sent a note to the judge, asking if they could recommend that Thompson receive help with his alcohol addiction either while incarcerated or upon his release.
