He is the Rev. Lamar Jones, who has been pastor of Galilee Baptist Church in Hallsville for 22 years. He became president on Sunday. Jones is a longtime member of the chapter and lifelong Longview resident. According to the Longview News Journal, one of his first focuses is on growing an active membership, recruiting new people and revitalizing members who are not active.
