MARSHALL — A Marshall lawyer received a five-year probated sentence Friday for failure to register as a sex offender. Michael Bernoudy made an open guilty plea earlier this year in 71st District Court. According to the Longview News-Journal, he was also sentenced to 240 hours of community service, and he will be required to comply with all sex offender requirements for registration and reporting, said Harrison County District Attorney Joe Black.
