The Gregg County Sheriff&#8217;s Department says the incident happened on I-20 near Longview. A truck driver was traveling about 75 mph when the 6 foot long 2 x 4 shattered the windshield. Arthur Ray Thompson, 46, was arrested. A witness claims Thompson tossed the wood intentionally so police would get called, then give him a courtesy ride to the next county line.
