It honors the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families. Located on about 2 acres surrounding the Teague Park pond, the plaza features unique individual monuments honoring all veterans. It also has a scale replica of the Vietnam Wall. Other monuments include memorials for 9\/11, MIA\/POWs, and conflicts in places such as Iwo Jima, Korea, Grenada, Iraq, Panama, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Bosnia.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The plaza was constructed thanks to fundraising efforts led by the Veterans Recognition Foundation. The nonprofit 501(c)3 organization continues to seek donations to pay for plaza construction and future projects.
