The incident happened Monday afternoon in Palestine as deputy Heriberto Rodriguez tried to serve a warrant on Marquette Laran Walker, 39. When Warker refused to get out of his vehicle, the deputy opened the driver&#8217;s door to remove him. That&#8217;s when Walker started driving away, dragging the deputy. The car stopped when the deputy shot Walker in the hand. Walker was first treated at a Palestine hospital, then transferred to a Tyler hospital.
