Tyler Johnathon Nankervis, 22, pleaded guilty on Monday. State District Judge Brad Morin then sentenced him to 51 years in prison. The sentence stems from the January stabbing death of 50-year-old Melinda Billingsley, of Marshall. She was found inside a home on Red Wood Trail. She later died at a Marshall hospital. Nankervis was found in the front yard of the home. He was originally charged with aggravated assault.
