It began in Tyler in 1982 with the Rose City Kiwanis Club. It has now grown to include  Brookshire\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s, Super 1 Foods and FRESH by Brookshire\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s stores throughout Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.  Last year was the most successful food drive to date. Around 500,000 pounds of food was collected and donated to local service organizations and food pantries. You can participate by donating  pre-assembled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153grab bags\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for $5 or scan coupons for $1 or $5 that will be used to purchase additional food items.
