The honor goes to a pair of military service dogs.  On the homecoming court nomination list were Duke and Lulu. They are service dogs who aid two military veteran students on campus. They received enough votes to make the final homecoming court ballot. Since it&#8217;s against homecoming bylaws for the king and queen to have four legs, the college decided to name Duke and LuLu as &#8220;honorary&#8221; homecoming king and queen as a tribute to military veterans.
