Jana Dykes, 41, Tyler, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The accident happened around 7:45 Wednesday night on Highway 64, just west of Loop 323. The vehicle, described as a 2001 or 2002 gold Honda Civic, left the scene. Authorities said it will have passenger side front end damage and possibly a damaged or inoperable passenger side headlight.
