Through June 307 building permits were issued. Their value is $151,237,113. That compares to 219 permits valued at $125,260,113 in the first six months of last year. Residential construction continues to be strong. Through the end of June, 233 residential building permits had been issued. There were 299 residential building permits issued in all of last year. The city of Tyler Chief Planner Kyle Kingma says we are currently in our busy construction season.
