The chase started just before 11:00 Sunday night in Gregg County. It began with a call to the Gregg County Sheriff&#8217;s Office about a drunk driver. He was chased along Interstate Highway 20 into Smith County where tire spikes destroyed three of his tires. The car, driving on its rims, left the interstate between Van and Canton. That&#8217;s where Harry Donald Nicholson Jr., 56, was arrested.
