The money goes to Gregg County\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s proposal for the reconstruction and improvements to the U.S. 259 and Hawkins Parkway intersection in northeast Longview. The proposal is a partnership involving the City of Longview, Gregg County, and TxDOT. <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>NET RMA officials say the significance of the project is great as U.S. 259\/U.S. 59\/Interstate 69 connects northeast Texas to the Gulf Coast region; officials say that makes it vital for the region\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ties to the oil and gas industry.
