On Wednesday, the City of Tyler Street Department closed both lanes of the 1100 block of East Lake Street between Elizabeth Drive and Magnolia Drive for emergency drainage and street repair. After assessment of the situation, it has been determined that the structural integrity of the culvert under East Lake Street has been compromised, according to officials. This section of the road will remained closed for major repair until further notice.<!--more--> <\/p>\n<p> \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are currently evaluating the system and considering our options,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Carter Delleney, City Engineer, in  news release. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are carefully inspecting the drainage culvert to determine whether or not we will need to replace the structure.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  Travelers will be rerouted to alternate corridors. Eastbound traffic is currently diverted southbound onto Elizabeth Drive. Westbound traffic is currently diverted north and southbound onto Magnolia Drive.
