Mayer was previously deputy director of public works and city engineer for the city of Southlake. He is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) and a member of the Texas City Managers Association and the American Public Works Association, among others. He holds a Master of Engineering degree from Texas A&#038;M and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.<!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>Former utilities chief Greg Morgan will take on the role of development manager, overseeing a review of engineering development functions and leading the hotel conference center contract process.
