Tiede was resentenced to life Friday night after being released two years ago. His victim was 81 year Carthage widow Marjorie Nugent.  He was a mortician, and they met when her husband died &#8212; after which they became inseparable. Her granddaughter, Shanna Nugent, says, &#8220;We have to protect the weakest members of our society, and I think widowhood is one of those real weak moments for women and men who lose their life partners.&#8221;    Prosecutors showed during the resentencing trial that Tiede spent a lot of Nugent&#8217;s money after he killed her.
