These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues.<\/p>\n<p>In Tyler, Spur 164 is scheduled to close just south of the railroad<br \/>\ntracks on Monday, April 18 for repairs. Contractor, L.C. Jordan and<br \/>\nSons, will be replacing the box culvert. The roadway will remain closed<br \/>\nto through traffic for about three months with an anticipated opening in<br \/>\nlate summer. Portable message signs are already in place announcing the<br \/>\npending closure. Motorists will have to use alternate routes to reach<br \/>\ntheir destinations for the duration of this project.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In Henderson County, a major change on the U.S. Highway 175 Phase I Project as the contractor, A.L. Helmcamp, plans to close the eastern portion of Loop 60 in Larue for several months starting Monday, April 25, for the construction of the new westbound mainlanes. The closure, from County Road 4343 south to US 175, will remain in place through July. Motorists can use the Loop 60W intersection, about a mile west of Loop 60E, to reach their destinations. Additional information on this project is<br \/>\navailable in the Henderson County section of this release.<\/p>\n<p>Smith County construction projects updates:<br \/>\nFarm Road 1253 Widening Project<br \/>\n*Limits: *From County Road 462 south, 1.3 miles north of FM 857 south to FM 1805; FM 1804 from Wood County line to US 69; FM 2015 from CR 313 to FM 16<br \/>\n*Contractor: *Longview Bridge and Road, Ltd., of Longview<br \/>\n*Cost:*$7.5 million<br \/>\nLevel up work continues on FM 1253 so expect lane closures. Hot mix<br \/>\noperations are set to start on FM 1804 with planned lane closures. No<br \/>\nwork is scheduled for FM 2015. This contract consists of widening,<br \/>\nsealing and resurfacing all three roadways.<\/p>\n<p>Loop 323 West Widening<br \/>\n*Limits:Tyler\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s West Loop and SH 31<br \/>\n*Contractor: Longview Bridge and Road, Ltd., of Longview<br \/>\n*Cost:*$12 million<br \/>\nDirt work is ongoing as is work on driveways and curb. The contractor<br \/>\nalso plans to continue working on both Old Chandler Road and Bellwood<br \/>\nWest, in anticipation of opening them to traffic in a few weeks. Meanwhile, the temporary detours remain in place, and motorists are encouraged to AVOID making left turns from the loop within the project limits of this work zone. Caution advised as crews and heavy equipment are working close to the travel lanes which have been altered for the project. Alternate routes are encouraged to avoid possible delays.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes widening Loop 323 from SH 31 to Shaw Street. The<br \/>\nspeed limit on Loop 323 in the work zone has been reduced to 45 mph from SH 64 to Shaw Street.<\/p>\n<p>Loop 323 Northeast Project<br \/>\n*Limits:From American Legion Road (at the Loop 323 Extension to US    271) south to Commerce St.<br \/>\n*Contractor:*Reynolds and Kay, LTD.<br \/>\n*Cost:$3.4 million<br \/>\nThe contractor continues ditch work on this portion of Loop 323. The<br \/>\nproject includes culvert extensions, base repair, level-up and placing<br \/>\nan overlay. Expect lane closures. Completion expected later this winter.<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 31E Widening Project<br \/>\n*Limits: From FM 757 to FM 2012<br \/>\n*Contractor:Reynolds &#038; Kay, LTD<br \/>\n*Cost:$7.8 million<br \/>\nWork on the eastbound passing lanes resume. Expect lane closures on this<br \/>\nproject designed to add passing lanes for multiple sections of roadway<br \/>\nin both the eastbound and westbound directions. Once the widening is<br \/>\ncomplete, a seal coat and final surface will be applied. A daily<br \/>\nconstruction speed limit of 60 mph is in place when work is being<br \/>\nperformed on this 18-month job.<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 64<br \/>\n*Limits:from Chapel Hill to Arp<br \/>\n*Contractor:Drewery Construction of Nacogdoches<br \/>\n*Cost:$3.9 million<br \/>\nClean-up activities are ongoing on this project to add passing lanes<br \/>\nbetween FM 2607 and Arp. Caution advised when traveling through this<br \/>\nwork zone. Expect lane closures.<\/p>\n<p>*GREGG COUNTY \u00e2\u20ac\u201c*Longview crews continue mill and inlay operations on FM 1845 from Loop 281 to FM 2605 with various right lane closures. Once<br \/>\ncompleted work moves to the two lane section between US 80 northward to<br \/>\nLoop 281. Expect lane closures with flaggers and other traffic control<br \/>\ndevices assisting motorists through the work zone.<\/p>\n<p>Gregg County construction projects updates:<br \/>\n*Farm Road 2275 George Richey Extension (Segments II &#038; III)<br \/>\n*Limits:McCann Road to US 259<br \/>\n*Contractor:East Texas Bridge, Inc.<br \/>\n*Cost:$12.8 million<br \/>\nThe outside southbound lane of Judson Road will be closed as the<br \/>\ncontractor ties it in to the new FM 2275. Meanwhile, paving operations<br \/>\ncontinuealong with construction of curb and gutter, and sidewalk,<br \/>\nbetween US 259 and McCann Road. This project is constructing a new<br \/>\nroadway from McCann Road to US 259. Clearing between Judson and Airline roads continues with excavation, embankment, bridge construction,<br \/>\nsubgrade treatment, storm drain and other work between McCann and Judson roads. This is a new location job requiring motorists to use other<br \/>\nroutes to get around Airline Road which is closed through April 2016.<\/p>\n<p>*Farm Road 2275 George Richey Extension (Segments I)<br \/>\n*Limits:McCann Road west to SH 300 (Gilmer Road)**<br \/>\n*Contractor:East Texas Bridge, Inc.<br \/>\n*Cost:$12.4 million**<br \/>\nUtility relocation and right of way work is ongoing with no impact to<br \/>\ntraffic on this new roadway construction to connect Gilmer and McCann<br \/>\nroads. When completed, it will have two lanes in each direction with a<br \/>\ncontinuous left turn lane. Excavation, embankment, bridge construction,<br \/>\nsubgrade treatment, storm drains, hot mix asphalt, curb and gutter and<br \/>\nsidewalk are all part of the new construction.<\/p>\n<p>*Farm Road 449<br \/>\n*Limits: *US 259 to FM 2751<br \/>\n*Contractor: *Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nWork resumes on this project with the contractor widening the road two<br \/>\nfeet on each side and applying an overlaying. Expect lane closures with<br \/>\nflaggers providing traffic control.<\/p>\n<p>Loop 281 at FM 2087 Overpass<br \/>\n*Limits:SH 31 to approximately one mile south of SH 31<br \/>\n*Contractor:Longview Bridge and Road, Ltd., of Longview.<br \/>\n*Cost:$13.2 million<br \/>\nThis project to build a new overpass is in Phase III of construction<br \/>\nwith traffic moved off the existing loop onto the detours. Current work<br \/>\nis on the turn around and extension of FM 2087 under the bridge. Expect<br \/>\ndelays during the peak evening hours. Caution advised in detour areas.<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 42<br \/>\n*Limits:From SH 31 north to I-20<br \/>\n*Contractor:Reynolds &#038; Kay, Ltd.<br \/>\n*Cost:$3.7 million<br \/>\nNo work scheduled for this project to build a left turn lane at<br \/>\nHillcrest Road. Completion expected soon.<\/p>\n<p>*Landscaping Projects*<\/p>\n<p>  * *Limits: *Intersection of SH 31 at SH 42**<br \/>\n  * *Limits: *Intersections of I-20 at Estes Parkway; and I-20 at<br \/>\n    Eastman Road**<br \/>\n  * *Contractor: *South Texas Illuminations, LLC<br \/>\n  * *Cost: *$400,000.00<\/p>\n<p>No work is scheduled for this landscaping project to enhance various<br \/>\nintersections throughout Gregg and Rusk counties. Crews are working at<br \/>\nthe intersections of SH 42 and SH 31, and I-20, Estes Parkway and<br \/>\nEastman Road. When work does occur, the majority is outside the travel<br \/>\nlane in the median and should have little impact on traffic.<br \/>\nANDERSON COUNTY \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Palestine crews plan to continue overlay operations on FM 861 between FM 319 and SH 294 on Monday. Work then moves to FM 319 from FM 861 to the end of state maintenance. Expect lane closures with flaggers and other traffic control devices in place to assist motorists through the work zone.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson County construction projects updates:<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 79 New Lane Construction Project<br \/>\n*Limits:1.6 miles southwest of Loop 256 in Palestine south to the Trinity River<br \/>\n*Contractor:Longview Bridge and Road, Ltd., of Longview.<br \/>\n*Cost:$42.7 million<br \/>\nCurrently, concrete paving operations continue on FM 645 and the<br \/>\nnorthbound exit ramp. Crews are also doing pipe work on the right side<br \/>\nof the northbound travel lanes from FM 294 to County Road 2205. Expect<br \/>\nlane closures. This project expands a 5.3 mile section of US 79 (from<br \/>\n1.6 miles southwest of Loop 256 to just past FM 645) from two lanes to a<br \/>\nfour-lane divided with a depressed median. The contractor started work<br \/>\non this project in November 2012 with completion expected at the end of<br \/>\nthis year.<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 19 Widening<br \/>\nLimits:3.6 miles north of FM 837 (Henderson Co. line) south to .4 mile north of FM 321 at Montalba<br \/>\n*Contractor:Big Creek Construction of Hewitt<br \/>\n*Cost:$12.5 million<br \/>\nNo work is currently being conducted on this project to widen SH 19.<\/p>\n<p>Off-System Bridge Replacement Project<br \/>\nLimits:County Road (CR) 471 at Box Creek and County Road (CR) 4801     at Indian Creek<br \/>\nContractor:Longview Bridge and Road, Ltd., of Longview<br \/>\nCost:$817,412.15<br \/>\nThis project on County Road 471 at Box Creek is winding down with the new bridge closed to traffic. Completion is expected once guardrail is installed.<\/p>\n<p>County Road 4801 at Indian Creek has a new bridge and is open to traffic as the contractor installs guardrail. Completion expected soon.<\/p>\n<p>CHEROKEE COUNTY \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Jacksonville Maintenance plans to perform base<br \/>\nrepairs on several roadways including, US 69 north of the overpass, FM<br \/>\n2274 between US 79 and FM 856, FM 768, and FM 2064. Additionally, the<br \/>\nRusk crew is scheduled to conduct base repair work on SH 204 between US 84 and the Nacogdoches County Line as well as FM 343, and FM 768. Expect lane closures with flaggers providing traffic control.<\/p>\n<p>Cherokee County construction projects updates:<br \/>\nFM 22 and FM 23 Widening Project<br \/>\nLimits: *From US 69 south of Jacksonville going SW to 1.5 miles west of FM 768 (Gallatin area); FM 23 from FM 343 to FM 1857<br \/>\nContractor:Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nCost:$8.5 million<br \/>\nCrews continue efforts to replace driveway pipe and other drainage<br \/>\nstructures on the FM 23 project. Expect lane closures. No work is<br \/>\nplanned on FM 22. These are safety projects designed to widen the<br \/>\nroadways from 20\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 to 24\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 along a 4.2-mile section.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 69 Widening and Resurfacing<br \/>\nLimits:From Loop 456 in Jacksonville going south to just north of Loop 62 in Rusk<br \/>\nContractor:Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nCost:$11 million<\/p>\n<p>No work scheduled on this job to widen the road by adding 2\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 edge<br \/>\ntreatment and resurfacing it.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 69 Widening and Resurfacing*<br \/>\nLimits:From 0.028 mile south of FM 343 in Rusk southward to just north of SH 21 in Alto<br \/>\nContractor:Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nCost:$9.3 million<\/p>\n<p>Expect lane closures as the contractor places permanent vegetation on<br \/>\nthe southbound lanes as work to widen and resurface this portion of US<br \/>\n69 continues.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 69 Widening and Resurfacing<br \/>\nLimits:From .37 miles north of FM 344 to .02 miles north of FM 347<br \/>\nContractor:*Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nCost:*$5.6 million<br \/>\nThe contractor is placing guardrail and preparing to make pavement<br \/>\nrepairs in the northbound lanes on this job to widen and resurface the<br \/>\nroadway.<\/p>\n<p>*HENDERSON COUNTY \u00e2\u20ac\u201c* Athens Maintenance continues overlay operations on<br \/>\nFM 317 between FM 314 and FM 315. Maintenance will also be conducted on<br \/>\nFM 2010. Expect lane closures with flaggers providing traffic control.<\/p>\n<p>Fritcher Construction has been awarded the contract to repair FM 317 in<br \/>\nAthens. Work is expected to start later this spring. The road remains<br \/>\nclosed with traffic detoured due to damage sustained during stormy<br \/>\nweather conditions last spring. A washout occurred three miles east of<br \/>\nSH 31. Repairs totaling $466,216.00 should take about three months to<br \/>\ncomplete, weather permitting. This job is being coordinated with the<br \/>\nCorp of Engineers and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).<\/p>\n<p>Henderson County construction projects updates:<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 31 Repair Project<br \/>\nLimits:.09 miles west of FM 317 eastward to .34 miles west of FM 773<br \/>\nContractor: *Big Creek Construction, Ltd., of Hewitt<br \/>\nCost: *$3.6 million<\/p>\n<p>The contractor continues to address seeding and vegetation on this<br \/>\nproject that consists of milling the existing surface and placing a new<br \/>\noverlay on the roadway. Work should be completed this month.**<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 175 Widening Project (Phase I)<br \/>\nLimits:0.1 miles southeast of FM 804 near Baxter southeast to 1.1 miles east of Loop 60E at Larue<br \/>\nContractor:A.L. Helmcamp, Inc. and Big Creek Construction<br \/>\nCost:$39.2 million<br \/>\nExpect the closure of the eastern portion of Loop 60 starting Monday,<br \/>\nApril 25, for construction of the new westbound mainlanes on this<br \/>\nproject that expands US 175 from two lanes to a four-lane divided with a<br \/>\ndepressed median. A traffic switch now has eastbound motorists driving<br \/>\non the new detour. Drivers should expect one lane carrying two-way<br \/>\ntraffic throughout the project limits as well as occasional day time<br \/>\nlane closures. Drivers on adjacent county roads and FM 804 should<br \/>\nanticipate a change in traffic flow due to the detour now requiring<br \/>\ntwo-way traffic on US 175. Dirt and drainage work around Loop 60E in<br \/>\nLarue to near Baxter is ongoing. The speed limit in the construction<br \/>\nzone has been set at 55 mph so slow down because traffic fines double<br \/>\nwhen workers are present. Phase I construction started April 6, 2015 and<br \/>\nhas an anticipated completion date in November 2018.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 175 Widening Project (Phase II)<br \/>\nLimits:1.1 miles east of Loop 60B to 0.85 mile east of FM 315<br \/>\nContractor:Sundt Construction, Inc.*, *of San Antonio<br \/>\nCost:$37.8 million<br \/>\nAs part of the new highway construction, a short stretch of CR 4401 has<br \/>\nbeen permanently closed from the intersection of US 175\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new eastbound<br \/>\nlanes to the new right of way. The rest of CR 4401 will remain open and<br \/>\ncan be accessed from CR 4345\/Camp Road. Meanwhile, the contractor<br \/>\ncontinues dirt work around FM 315 south of Poynor. Drainage work is<br \/>\nongoing throughout the project.<\/p>\n<p>This Phase II project will expand US 175 from two lanes to a four-lane<br \/>\ndivided with a depressed median. Drivers should anticipate two-way<br \/>\ntraffic throughout the project limits which stretch 4.7 miles ending<br \/>\njust east of FM 315 in Poynor. The speed limit has been set at 55 mph. A<br \/>\nportion of this phase is being built on new location around the south<br \/>\nside of Poynor. This like Phase I, is a mobility project to add capacity<br \/>\nand improve safety, and includes adding one lane in each direction. It<br \/>\nis a two-year project.<\/p>\n<p>*U.S. Highway175 Widening Project (Phase III)<br \/>\nLimits:0.85 miles east of FM 315 in Poynor, southeast to .5 miles NW of SH 155 at Frankston<br \/>\nContractor:A.L. Helmcamp, Inc.<br \/>\nCost:$27.6 million<br \/>\nThis project which will expand US 175 from two lanes to a four-lane<br \/>\ndivided highway with a depressed median is expected to start later this<br \/>\nspring.<\/p>\n<p>Farm Road 315\/FM 1616 Widening Project<br \/>\nLimits:From FM 314S to CS End at County Road 4325, 4224, etc.<br \/>\nContractor:Big Creek Construction, LTD, of Hewitt, Texas<br \/>\nCost:$3.07 million<br \/>\nOn FM 1616, work continues to extend the cross structures. Drivers<br \/>\nshould anticipate one-way traffic throughout the project limits with<br \/>\ndaily lane closures. FM 1616 is expected to be completed this summer.<br \/>\nFinal work is being performed on FM 315 as well with an anticipated<br \/>\ncompletion also in mid-summer.<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 31 Bridge Painting Project \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Westbound at Trinity River\/Eastbound at Cedar Creek*<br \/>\nLimits:From just east of Cedar Creek to just west of the Trinity River<br \/>\nContractor:Olympus Painting Contractors Inc., of Clearwater, Florida<br \/>\nCost:$2.3 million<br \/>\nTraffic control for Phase I has been implemented with concrete traffic<br \/>\nbarriers being set on the Trinity River Bridge. Work for cleaning and<br \/>\npainting the existing steel structure over the Trinity River will<br \/>\ncontinue. Work under the Cedar Creek Bridge is expected to start soon<br \/>\nand is expected to be completed in July.<\/p>\n<p>Farm Road 316 Widening Project<br \/>\nLimits:From FM 1256 south to FM 3080<br \/>\nContractor:Big Creek Construction, Ltd., of Hewitt<br \/>\nNo work is scheduled for this widening project.<\/p>\n<p>RUSK COUNTY \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Henderson Maintenance will address base failures on Farm Road 2658 between State Highway 43 and Farm Road 1251. The roadway will be reduced to one lane carrying two-way traffic with a pilot car and flaggers guiding motorists through the work zones.<\/p>\n<p>Rusk County construction projects updates:<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 259 South Project<br \/>\nLimits: Southbound lanes from 0.4 miles S of US 79 in Henderson south to 0.4 miles N of FM 1798<br \/>\nContractor:Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nCost:$5.7 million<br \/>\nNo work scheduled for this10.13-mile project consisting of base repairs,<br \/>\nmill and inlay of asphalt surface, PFC overlay, and pavement markings.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Highway 79 South Project<br \/>\nLimits:From Loop 571 in Henderson going southwest for 3.0 miles to FM 839<br \/>\nContractor:Drewery Construction Co., Inc.<br \/>\nCost:$6.7 million<br \/>\nThe posted speed limit has been reduced to 60 mph throughout this work<br \/>\nzone and is being enforced by DPS. Meanwhile, work continues to extend<br \/>\nthe structures and place embankment on the widened edges. Expect delays with possible lane closures. The project includes widening the existing paving and adding a center left turn lane resulting in a new asphalt<br \/>\nsurface when the job is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Farm Road 3135<br \/>\nLimits:County Road 222 to County Road 262<br \/>\nContractor:Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nNo work is planned on this project consisting of widening the road and<br \/>\nadding shoulders.<\/p>\n<p>Farm Road 95<br \/>\nLimits:FM 1798 to SH 315<br \/>\nContractor:Madden Contracting Company, LLC<br \/>\nNo work is scheduled for this project consisting of widening the road<br \/>\nand adding shoulders.<\/p>\n<p>Landscaping Projects<\/p>\n<p>Limits:SH 64 and US 79<br \/>\nContractor:South Texas Illuminations, LLC<br \/>\nCost:$400,000.00<br \/>\nNo work is scheduled on this landscaping project to enhance various<br \/>\nlocations in Rusk County (in conjunction with the contract in Gregg<br \/>\nCounty.) Crews are working on SH 64 and Loop 571. The majority of the<br \/>\nwork is in the median and should have little impact on traffic. The<br \/>\ntraveling public should be cautious of construction vehicles entering<br \/>\nand leaving the project sites.<br \/>\nVAN ZANDT COUNTY \u00e2\u20ac\u201c  Canton crews plan to conduct base repairs on SH 198 south of FM 3227 to the Kaufman County line. Once completed, crews will address other roadway maintenance issues around the county. Expect lane closures with flaggers providing traffic control.<\/p>\n<p>Van Zandt County construction projects updates:<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 64 Widening Project<br \/>\nLimits:From FM 858 near Ben Wheeler to FM 314<br \/>\nContractor:A.L. Helmcamp, Inc., of Buffalo<br \/>\nCost:$7.4 million<br \/>\nWork still being conducted on this job as it nears completion includes<br \/>\ndrainage and vegetation. The newly added passing lanes are open to<br \/>\ntraffic and the project is expected to be completed this month. The<br \/>\nproject will improve safety and mobility for traffic on SH 64.<\/p>\n<p>State Highway 198 Widening Project<br \/>\nLimits:from SH 243 in Canton southwest to 0.4 miles northeast of FM 316 near Phalba<br \/>\nContractor:Big Creek Construction, Ltd., of Waco<br \/>\nCost:$5 million<br \/>\nWork to extend the cross structures is ongoing on the east side of the<br \/>\nroad as other work around driveways occurs on both sides of the road.<br \/>\nExpect lane closures.<\/p>\n<p>Farm Road 314 Widening Project<br \/>\nLimits:from I-20 to the Van Zandt\/Henderson County line<br \/>\nContractor:A.L. Helmcamp, Inc., of Buffalo<br \/>\nCost:$11.9 million<br \/>\nNo lane closures are expected as the contractor continues erosion<br \/>\ncontrol activities south of Edom.<\/p>\n<p>Farm Road 279 Resurfacing Project<br \/>\nLimits: from Ben Wheeler to Edom<br \/>\nContractor:APAC \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Texas<\/p>\n<p>Hot mix applications for driveways continue as does edge work between Edom and Ben Wheeler. Expect lane closures.<\/p>\n<p>WOOD COUNTY \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Mineola crews plan to implement overlay operations on FM 852E as well as perform ditch maintenance on FM 2869 north of FM 14, and base repairs on FM 2966 north of FM 515.
