The award goes to officers Jose Burciaga (pictured) and Cory Adkinson.  Both are in the department&#8217;s patrol Bureau. Shortly after 7:15pm on December 27, 2015, the officers were dispatched to the area of West Pinecrest and Loop 390 in reference to a vehicle in the ditch. They found a vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled over into a ravine and the driver was trapped inside. The officers were able to rescue the driver. They both received MVP awards for their actions. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Officer Adkinson has been with MPD since 2012 and is currently assigned to the patrol bureau and serves as a field training officer.
