Sheriff Larry Smith says pathologists at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science provided the information in a verbal report relating to the death of Kenneth Brent Barton.  Smith says toxicology reports will not be available for several weeks. The preliminary autopsy report on Barton&#8217;s mother, Frances Barton, also revealed she died from a single gunshot wound to the head. According to KETK, her body was found in a freezer after the standoff.  Officials were serving a search warrant related to her disappearance in 2014.
