Police said, around 6:30 Monday night, Jesus Acosta, 69, turned onto Raguet Street and was struck by another vehicle. According to KETK, Acosta was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other vehicle was driven by Alton Dixon, 29. Dixon is a P.E. teacher\/coach at Lufkin ISD, according to the school&#8217;s website. He also played football at Texas A&#038;M. Dixon was flown to a Tyler hospital with unknown injuries.
