The governor also requested Public Assistance for 25 counties, including Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Titus and Van Zandt counties. This declaration comes after preliminary damage assessments were finalized and federal declaration criteria was met.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The governor said in a news release from his office \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The severe weather that swept through Texas last December devastated many homes, businesses and lives.
