They appear on the agency&#8217;s Public Education Grant list. A school can get on the list one of two ways: If at least half the students fail any STAAR subject for two of the past three years, reading, writing, math, science and social studies; or if a school was rated \u00e2\u20ac\u0153improvement required\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the state accountability system even once during the past three years. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tyler schools on the list are:<br \/>\nBonner Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Boulter Middle School<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Dixie Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Dogan Middle School<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Douglas Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Griffin Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Hogg Middle School<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Jones Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Orr Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Peete Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Ramey Elementary<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Stewart Middle School<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 TJ Austin Elementary <\/p>\n<p>Students attending failing schools have the right to transfer to another campus either in their home district or a neighboring district that agrees to accept them.
