The contract, which was approved Thursday, will run from from January 1, 2016 to August 31, 2018. Her annual salary will be $200,000, which will be prorated to $133,334 for the remainder of fiscal year 2016. Dr Kays will use her own auto for business and professional travel but will receive an annual automobile travel allowance of $10,000 to be paid in monthly installments for gas, insurance, repairs, maintenance and other auto expenses.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Kays comes from Stanly Community College (N.C.) where she has served as president since 2011. She will begin work at Kilgore the first part of January. As the first woman president in college history, she will succeed Dr. William M. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Bill\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Holda, who has served as president of the college since September 1, 1996.
