Officers said it appears as though the blue Hyundai Santa Fe ran off the road and struck several trees. The driver, a 32-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger, a 37-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is still under investigation, but alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
