The wreck occurred on U.S. Highway 59 shortly before 12:15 Saturday morning. Killed was  Jose Luis Reyes, 21, of Nacogdoches. He was dead at the scene after being thrown from his car. The drivers of the other two vehicles, Candice Renae Cooper, 32, of Nacogdoches and Sydney Rae Cantalupo, 20, of Driftwood, were both injured. The Department of Public Safety says Reyes car hit the rear of a pickup that had slowed to make a turn.
